Stranger Things Season 4 released last Friday received 286.8 million global streams during the premiere weekend alone.
Stranger Things’ latest season is now Netflix’s biggest debut in history for an American TV show.
It marks the highest viewing hours of a Netflix show since the Korean TV series “Squid Game,” released in September.
Season 4 was the show’s first to reach #1 on Netflix in 83 different countries and make it to the top 10 charts in 93.
Fans waited three years for Stranger Things’ fourth season, after the release of Season 3 in 2019, which received 40 million streams in its first four days.
The Duffer Bro’s, directors and producers of this TV series, claimed that they did not want to stop here, and would be ending the show with the fifth season.
Season 4 also pushed “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Moss to the top spot on iTunes after its feature in Episode 4, 37 years after the song was originally released.
Since the season premiere, there has been an over 1,600% increase in Kate Bush’s catalog global streams.
