13 people have passed away, and dozens more injured after a volcano erupted on Java Island, Indonesia
Pictures have surfaced of the entire village buried in ash. Accounts from locals onsite describe a thick black smoke seeming to cover the sun.
According to the BBC “The eruption has left at least 11 villages in the Lumajang district coated in volcanic ash, submerging houses and forcing some evacuees to seek shelter in mosques and makeshift shelters.”
