On October 8, the Swedish Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai set the Guiness World record with the longest line of cinnamon buns, including 1,500 of them.

This batch was made by mixing together 6kg of butter, 11kg of sugar, and 36kg of flour, with the popular bakery Mister Baker helping to fire up the ovens.

When the record was confirmed almost an hour later, the pastry train was displayed in a large spiral on a circular table at the heart of the pavilion. The rolls were later shared with hundreds of visitors in the EXPO who celebrated the record.

Thisnew record in Dubai was supposed to take place on October 4, in correlation to Cinnamon Bun Day, but warnings about Cyclone Shaheen, which hit Oman earlier in the week, delayed the attempt.

Tushar Fotedar from Mister Baker: “To bake our way into the record books is a testament to the hard work, agility and dedication that you see every day in our 22 cake shops. We are honoured to have been a part of this Guinness World Record at ‘the greatest show on earth’, Expo 2020.”
