Teen Boy Pleads Guilty for the Murder of a College Student

Luchiano Lewis, 16 years old, pleaded guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court for his role in the robbery and murder of  Tessa Majors, a Barnard College freshman.  

According to daily news, Lewis told Judge Robert Mandelbaum he didn’t know Majors had been “stabbed, let alone killed” during the robbery until he read it in the news the next day. 

After Lewis pleaded guilty, the Majors family thanked officials for their work on the case. While 

“We remain resolute in our belief that all parties who bear responsibility for Tess’ senseless death will be held accountable, and we are deeply grateful to the many people who continue to pursue that goal,” They also said, “We remain resolute in our belief that all parties who bear responsibility for Tess’ senseless death will be held accountable, and we are deeply grateful to the many people who continue to pursue that goal,”.
