Republicans demand Nancy Pelosi follow her own rules

A few days after the riots on January 6th, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi imposed a rule on members of congress that they must go through a security screening before entering the house chambers.
Members who did not would be fined $5,000 for their first offense and $10,000 for their second. Recently a member left to go to the bathroom and did not go through the security check when reentering the chamber and was fined $5,000.
Many republicans opposed this rule and saw it as purely political. This belief was furthered as Nancy Pelosi was spotted entering the house chambers without going through the security checks.
Many Republicans have demanded that she be fined $5,000 just like other Republican congressmen. Prominent Republicans such as Dan Crenshaw have stated that Nancy Pelosi should pay the $5,000 fine and as he put it “play by your own rules Madam Speaker”.
It is unclear as to whether or not the witnesses are telling the truth and if they are, whether or not Nancy Pelosi will follow her rules and pay up.
