Reading a book before watching its movie adaptation is valuable because it provides a deeper understanding of the story and characters, allows for a more personal experience through imagination, and improves appreciation of the movie adaptation. Immersing in the world created by the author is also possible through reading the book, offering a unique experience compared to just watching the movie.

These are reasons on why you should READ a book before WATCHING the movie:

Deeper Understanding: Books usually contain more detail and background information than movies, providing a deeper understanding of the story and its characters.

Original Storyline: Adaptations can often deviate from the original storyline, leaving out important plot points and characters. By reading the book first, you’ll have a better understanding of the original story and can compare it to the movie adaptation.

Improved Imagination: Reading a book requires imagination and visualization, as you create your own mental images of the characters, settings, and events. This can be a more fulfilling and personal experience than simply watching a movie.

Greater Appreciation: When you’ve read the book and understand the story, you can appreciate the artistry and skill involved in the movie adaptation.

Immersion in the World: Reading a book allows you to fully immerse yourself in the world created by the author, and experience the story in a way that is not possible by simply watching a movie.

In short, reading a book before watching its movie adaptation is a great way to gain a deeper understanding of the story and its characters, and to appreciate the artistry involved in the movie adaptation.
