All of London will be covered by a ULEZ despite opposition

The mayor of London has stated that the Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) will be extended to include the whole of the city despite “overwhelming” opposition.
Drivers of the polluting vehicles will have to pay £12.50 per day starting on August 29 2023 in order to enter the Greater London Authority boundaries.
Residents of the ULEZ who drive non-compliant vehicles are nevertheless subject to daily fines.
80% of those in the impacted areas who participated in a public survey said they opposed expanding the zone.
However, according to Sadiq Khan, five million additional people will gain from better and cleaner air.
Mr. Khan had stated, “The ULEZ so far has been transformational, reducing harmful pollution levels by almost a half in central London
