The new season is coming, fashion month has just ended, trends have been set and are ready to be spread. Let’s venture out and explore the new trends. Fall is the season of layering. This season is when some of the most fashionable outfits are pulled out from the deep ends of people’s closets. There are many chic pieces and combinations that have been brought to life for this new season. 

To start off, fall shoes are not only comfortable but also upscaled. Some pairs of shoes that have been a staple in many people’s fall outfits include the UGG Tazz Slippers and the Adidas Sambas, specifically in the classic black and white colorway. These shoes have become very popular as they are unisex, versatile, come in so many colors and styles, and have a vintage style to them. Celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner also wear these shoes, which is another reason why they are so adored.

Next up, the incorporation of accessories during fall make a simple outfit much more fashionable. Instead of just wearing plain blue jeans and a white t-shirt, many have learned to optimize accessories. For example, adding belts, sunglasses or even headphones create that on-the-go and somewhere-to-be vibe that many are interested in. Accessories are powerful and can either make or break an outfit. This has been showcased when styling the new trend of monochromatic outfits. Although monochrome can be hard to achieve because of the different variations of colors, it works well with blacks, whites, grays, and denim (if you are up for it).

Easing into colder weather with style is easy with the help of layering. Shrugs, which are sweaters or tops that are cut so that only the sleeves are left, are used for effective layering. They are easy to style because you are able to expose more layers underneath while still having another layer that adds extra texture, versatility, and warmth to an outfit. Many influencers have been making statements with bold and colorful shrugs. 

Lastly, we have the long skirt/big shirt combo, this has been seen a lot recently. We are currently moving from the usual fitted top with long or short skirts, to a more chunky top or sweater with skirts. Especially with fall coming in, many still want to bring in a little more of a picnic and stroll through the woods look into the new season. This has been shown on many platforms, especially Pinterest and TikTok. Making feminine clothing pieces into more masculine outfits has been a big trend that is turning into the new normal. Clothing is being adapted as “genderless,” which makes sense because they contribute to personal choices.
