Due to his comments regarding his tweet which included a link to an anti-Semitic documentary, Kyrie Irving was suspended and will not play the next 5 games for the Brooklyn Nets.
For the second time since promoting “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America,” Irving refused to express regret, deny harboring anti-Semitic views, acknowledge that the Holocaust occurred, and casted himself as the victim in the entire ordeal when speaking to reporters.
The Nets suspended him on Thursday. On his verified Instagram account, the star point guard later apologized for his actions and claimed full responsibility.
Irving stated “To All Jewish families and Communities that are hurt and affected by my post, I am deeply sorry to have caused you pain, and I apologize.”
