What is New York Fashion Week?

The New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is the bi-annual showcase of runway shows and presentations used to showcase designer’s collections for the upcoming season of fashion. It is a huge part of Fashion Month which also features in Paris, Milan and London. More than 230,000 visitors, which include some of the most famous celebrities, attend the more than 300 shows by the most prestigious fashion brands over the course of 7-9 days each year. In 1943 Eleanor Lambert, the New York Dress Institute promotional director, founded the first ever NYFW.

When is New York Fashion Week?
New York Fashion Week takes place twice a year. Once for the Spring/Summer collection in September, and another for the Fall/Winter collection in February.
