As you may know, winter time in Dubai is, obviously, the most looked forward to season of the year. This is because it finally allows individuals to escape the boiling heat. Due to this, Dubai through the years has provided a variety of activities for all types of people during the winter time, providing entertainment to family and friends.
Additionally, unlike other nations within Europe or even Asia, the gulf countries do not tend to get extremely cold. The temperature usually drops down to 25 – 20 degrees on average, obviously not resulting in snow. Although skiing is one the most popular activities during the winter season, Dubai offers many other alternatives including indoor skiing year round.
Firstly, as the weather in the country is quite cool during the winter time, most people tend to spend most of their time outdoors to make the most out of the season. In fact, most businesses such as restaurants, expand their properties outdoors for people to sit and feel the cool breeze. Some restaurants even provide optional blankets to add that extra touch of winter coziness.
During such a loved season, the UAE aims to provide a variety of options for residents and visitors. To begin with, the most popular tourist attraction area during the winter season is Dubai parks & resorts (DP&S); the first and only outdoor theme park in Dubai. This attraction allows families to connect and laugh while enjoying fun activities such as roller coasters, bumper cars, leap of faith, etc. Furthermore, DP&S contains different themed tourist attraction parks, which are: Motiongate, Legoland, and Bollywood.
As stated above, most restaurants during the winter season expand their seating to the outside, but where are such places found? Well, the two highest populated outdoor attractions during the wintertime are JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residents) and Kite Beach; which include a strip of restaurants and cafes for families and friends. Moreover, there are several other outdoor attractions such as the Palm Jumeirah, City Walk, Downtown Dubai, La Mer…
Although Dubai may not offer natural wintertime activities like regions up north, the UAE attempts to make the most out of their weather conditions. Dubai has something for everyone, especially during winter.
