Iranian Director Asghar Farhadi Urges “Solidarity” With Protesters Following Death Of Mahsa Amini

Oscar-winning Iranian director Asghar Farhadi asked everyone to gather around in solidarity with protesters following the death of Mahsa Amini while in custody of the morality police.
Farhadi said that “we have seen pictures of brave and upstanding women protesting for human rights, they’re seeking the right that the state has denied them for years which is the cultural right not to use head scarfs.”
The protest started last week by the death of a 22-year old Mahsa Amini who was taken into custody for not wearing her head scarf properly, 41 people were killed in the protests so far as authorities vow to regain control.
