Vasyl Lomochenko drops boxing to defend his country

Since Russia’s recent invasion, several citizens have decided to take up arms in defense of Ukraine. Vasyl Lomachenko decided to pause his boxing career to join the Ukrainian army in the defense of his country in the war against Russia. 

The Ukrainian boxer joined the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Territorial Defense Battalion in southwestern Ukraine. Lomachenko had no confirmed fight and there was talk that his next opponent could be George Kambosos however,  he stated that until the war ends in the region Lomachenko he will not return to the ring.
