Putin Threatens To Use Nuclear Weapons Against Ukraine

After receiving criticism for his attacks against Ukraine, Vladimir Putin put his nuclear forces on special alert. 

It is not confirmed that Putin will use these weapons, rather put Russia’s deterrence forces on high alert, which incorporate nuclear weapons. 

He stated to defence chiefs that this was a result of “aggressive statements” that were received by the West. 

Instantly, the US faulted this decision, claiming that it was an “unacceptable escalation”.

One week ago, Putin threatened those that condemned his invasion of Ukraine, saying that they would face consequences “never seen in your history”.

Many interpreted this statement as a warning to the West for Russia’s use of nuclear weapons if hindered. 

The European Union rebounded this threat with an announcement of new actions against Russia, such as:

1. Financing weapons for Ukraine.
2. Banning Russian plane’s using EU airspace.
