SpaceX’s new launch satellites are now facing a problem, they are falling out of orbit due to the solar storm which damaged them. Last week the SpaceX company launched 49 satellites and out of the 49, only 9 were left in orbit. The other 40 either managed to enter the atmosphere or were burnt to ashes.
Ground-controllers are now trying to minimize the impact, by putting the things into a hibernation that minimizes drag. They want to minimize the damage because of the high cost of reparation.
SpaceX goal is to send 2,000 satellites into orbit, so that remote places can be able to have Internet too. The satellites getting hit weren’t a huge deal, but it extends the due date of their final goal.
