Rotterdam May Dismantle Part of a historic Bridge for Jeff Bezos’ Superyacht

In recent days, officials of the city government of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, had said that a historic bridge in the city would be dismantled to allow the passage of a superyacht of the famous founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos.

According to the New York Times, the news of the dismantling of the bridge was denied by the mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb.

Before Aboutaleb’s denial, the news of the bridge’s dismantling had attracted widespread criticism from historians and resident groups, who had in the past opposed its demolition.
