Even while Omnicron is still peaking, travel is opening up. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, tourism and travel are expected to generate a profit of $8.6 trillion. That is only a 6.4% difference from pre-pandemic profit levels. Now, more countries are announcing their plans to reopen.
Denmark, with 81% of its population vaccinated, has become the first country within the EU to lift all Covid-19 related restrictions. While Morocco has announced plans to reopen to tourists on the 7th of February. Even New Zealand is slowly opening-up
This could mean the world gradually becoming normal or at least easing up. Hopefully, in a few short months, things will be normal.
