Man who walked 28 miles to murder ex-girlfriend and her son jailed for at least 40 years

After killing Bethany Vincent, 26, and nine-year-old Darren Hunt while a baby was present, the 30-year-old led police on a 24-hour search.
After killing Bethany Vincent, 26, and nine-year-old Darren Henson while a baby was present in the residence in Louth, Lincolnshire, at about 8 p.m. on May 31, 2021, Daniel Boulton, 30, led police on a 24-hour search.
On the second day of his trial, Boulton pled guilty to manslaughter, assault with intent to resist arrest, and burglary.
On Tuesday, a jury rejected his manslaughter defense and convicted him guilty of murder.
Boulton was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum period of 40 years by the court, who warned him that he might never be freed.
