Brian Flores NFL Lawsuit
By Angelina Mokbel
Brian Flores, the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, filed a class-action lawsuit against the NFL and all 32 teams on Tuesday, alleging racial discrimination in the team’s hiring practices.
Flores, a Black 40-year-old, claims in his case that the Giants interviewed him for their empty head coaching job under false pretenses since he learned three days before his interview that the Giants had already decided to employ Brian Daboll.
Flores claims he found out after receiving an incorrectly sent congratulations text message from Belichick, with whom he used to work. The former Dolphins head coach claims that it was his children who inspired him to take on the NFL, and it was their actions that pushed him over the line to launch a racial discrimination complaint against the league and three franchises. He didn’t want his children to have to go through what he had gone through.
