Actor Michael K. Williams purchased drugs which led to his overdose resulting in death last year. This exchange was caught on camera.
On Wednesday 2nd February, the prosecutors in New York explained how this exchange took place. The Times explained that “Last night prosecutors in New York described how the crew stashed drugs behind bins in Brooklyn and sold them in the street in plain view, including to Williams, 54. That purchase, hours before his death last September, was captured on surveillance video.”
Cartegena was the one who actually sold the actor the heroin on the 5th of September.
Yahoo News stated that “Cartegena is accused of causing Williams’ death in connection with the narcotics conspiracy, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years in prison, and a maximum sentence of life.”
They also carried on by saying “Cartegena and three other suspects — Hector Robles, 57; Luis Cruz, 56, and Carlos Macci, 70 — were also charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl analogue, fentanyl and heroin, which carries a mandatory five-year minimum sentence and a maximum sentence of 40 years.”
