Tensions rise between Russia and Ukraine.

After the US called a meeting to address Moscow’s troops build-up on its borders with Ukraine, there have been heated exchanges between Russian and US envoys at the United Nations Security Council.

The deployment, that is According to the U.S Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, was the world’s biggest Europe had seen in decades.

Her Russian counterpart accused the United States of inciting frenzy and interfering in Russia’s internal affairs.

If Russia invades Ukraine, the US and the UK have pledged further sanctions.

UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said legislation was being created that would target a broader range of persons and firms linked to the Kremlin than is presently the case.

According to a US official, the sanctions would cut those close to the Kremlin off from the international banking system.
