Many Rohingya refugees in the US and the UK have sued Facebook, accusing them of allowing hate speech against them to spread.
They are demanding more than $150 billion in compensation. They are claiming that Facebook’s platform is promoting violence against the persecuted minority.
Around 10,000 Rohingya Muslimes were killed during a military attack in Myanmar, in 2017.
Facebook, which is now called Meta, did not respond to the allegations immediately.
