Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacked by Manchester United after Watford defeat

United has stated that Solskjaer’s assistant Michael Carrick would be appointed as interim manager till the end of the season, with the club also disclosing their plan to hire an interim manager until the end of the season.

Solskjaer signed a new three-year contract in July, but he is leaving following five defeats in their previous seven Premier League games, leaving them 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.
