A teenage jogger found alive after being missing for more than a day in North-West France has said that she escaped her kidnappers.
The 17-year-old was in a state of shock when found 10km away from where she initially had gone jogging.
French media has reported that she had been held by kidnappers but managed to flee.
The unnamed teenager left her home in the village of Saint-Brice for a jog at Bellebranche forest on Monday at 4 pm.
Her father went looking for her and then called the police 3 hours later when he couldn’t find her.
While searching, her father found her phone, watch, and traces of blood.
A man was questioned but released without charge. Local prosecutors said investigation into the incident would continue.
