On October 21st, Alec Baldwin accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie “Rust”. Today, the head electrician of the film set along with other crew members sued Alec Baldwin for using a heavy weapon with carelessness (BBC).
This incident is still under investigation in New Mexico. However, no criminal charges have been imposed on anyone to this day.
The BBC also mentioned that: “In an interview on Wednesday, Santa Fe county district attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said investigators “do not have any proof” of sabotage”.
Alec Baldwin wrote on his Instagram this Monday that: “Every film/TV set that uses guns, fake or otherwise, should have a police officer on set, hired by the production, to specifically monitor weapons safety” (The Washington Post).
