There have been a growing number of reports of people’s drinks being spiked and/or being drugged by injections.
While the reports have come from both men and women, it has mainly been young females, Britain’s National Police Chiefs Council said.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of poisoning with intent to injure. A 19-year-old man has been arrested for the same reasoning as well.
The Sussex Police have said that they received, “a number of recent reports of people becoming unwell during or after nights out, with some finding puncture marks on their body or believing their drink had been tampered with”.
Currently, at least 56 cases of injection spiking incidents have been confirmed. Similarly, 198 drink spiking incidents have also been confirmed.
