Forecasters said a storm off Florida’s northern shore led to coastal flooding up and down the southeast coast on Friday and Saturday and was expected to continue churning up severe precipitation over the weekend.
Coastal flooding was recorded Saturday at Daytona Beach, Florida, Jacksonville, Florida, Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina, boosted by a late-morning high tide.
