Taliban Bans Foreign Currencies In Afghanistan

The Taliban has made the decision to ban the use of foreign currencies within Afghanistan.
This move could be what pushes the economy to the brink of collapse.
The economy has already been struggling due to the withdrawal of foreign support since the Taliban took control.
The US Dollar is a widely used currency. Often used in trade between neighboring countries.
According to the BBC “The Islamic Emirate instructs all citizens, shopkeepers, traders, businessmen, and the general public to henceforth conduct all transactions in Afghanis and strictly refrain from using foreign currency,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement posted online.
