COP26: Biden Attacks China and Russia Leaders for Missing Summit

The US president, Joe Biden, has criticised the leaders of Russia and China for not turning up to the COP26 climate summit.

On Tuesday night, Joe Biden said climate was “a gigantic issue” and China “walked away” and then added it with, “same thing with Russia and Putin.”

Neither Chinese leader Xi Jinping nor Russian President Valdimir Putin were at the summit. 

However, both countries have sent delegations to the talks, which are running for 2 weeks until November 14.
