UK Boat Detained by France Amid Fishing Rights Row

A boat has been taken by France and another boat has been fined, in the middle of an escalating row over the post-Brexit fishing rights.
French maritime minister, Annick Girardin, said that the ships were cautioned during the check off Le Havre overnight.
She said that the first boat did not obey right away and the second boat wasn’t allowed to fish in French waters, so the boat was detained.
France warned before that it would block British boats from some of the ports next week. As well as having more thorough checks on UK boats and trucks. The UK said threats by France were out of proportion and a breach of international law and trade agreements.
