New York Schools Ban Squid Game Halloween Costumes

Three primary schools in New York have banned Halloween costumes from the Netflix show Squid Games.

The South Korean thriller series has schools to email parents about its ‘gory’ content. They have said these costumes would be considered inappropriate and in violation of the dress code.

Superintendent Dr. Craig Tice said that pupils had been reenacting violent scenes during recess.

In the United States, the series is rated as ‘may not be suitable for ages 17 or younger.
