Picasso masterpieces fetch nearly $110m at Las Vegas auction

Eleven Pablo Picasso artworks that have displayed for over two decades have sold at the Las Vegas auction for around $110 million.
The auction featured two ceramic pieces and nine paintings by a Spanish artist who died in 1973. The collection stretches over more than 50 years of artistic paintings.
The painting “Woman in a Red-Orange Beret,” which depicts Picasso’s lover, had the highest price of the evening, it was worth $40.5 million, but it was expected to sell for $20-$30 million.
