6,000 Km/h Passenger Plane In The Works

Hermeus, an aviation start-up based in Atlanta is planning to flight test their prototype in 2029. Since it’s a rather smaller plane, seating around 100 people, it allows the plane to be light and reach speeds up to Mach 5 which is 5 times the speed of sound. 

This aircraft model is wanted by Airliners such as United, who want to offer supersonic routes by the end of the decade in 2029. This plane allows for routes to be cut down drastically, making even the famed Concorde look sluggish, because the concept is said to fly from New York to London in 90 minutes.
