On October 12, 2021, the Brooklyn Nets general manager confirmed that Kyrie Irving will no longer play or practice with the team, until he is eligible to be fully able to participate, due to the vaccination issue.
On Friday, a New York City Hall official had told CNN that Irving will be allowed to practice at the team’s facility, however, he will not be able to play in the Nets’ home games at Barclays Center due to the city’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate.
