Facebook Harms Children and Weakens Democracy: Ex-Employee

A previous Facebook employee told US lawmakers that the company’s apps and sites “harm children, stoke division and weaken our democracy.”

The woman behind this is Frances Haugen, a 37-year-old who is a former product manager who heavily denounced the company at a hearing on Capitol Hill. 

Facebook has faced a major inspection and many calls for its regulation.

Mark Zuckerberg, who is the founder, replied back by saying recent coverage painted a false painting of the company. 

Mark Zuckerberg believes passionately that Facebook is a force for good and It’s becoming tougher to find people on Capitol Hill who agree with that as well.
