Amazon presented Astro, a handy man robot,the first domestic automaton for the family. It was announced on the 28th of September 2021. It costs a thousand dollars and can be purchased, only in the States for now, by invitation only, in a limited number. The robot, which is very similar to the protagonist of the film Wall-E, is equipped with a periscope camera that allows him to expand his field of vision and also check what happens beyond his height, to people, animals and objects. Its main purpose is in factt home surveillance, being also supported by the subscription service Protect Pro by Ring, which automatically calls for help in case of help.
