Yesterday, on September 26, the DAA Middle and High school musical, “Legally Blonde” is finally announced by Middle School arts teacher, Ms. Melida Eversteyn to take place from February 12-14.
Volunteers can either audition for main roles, or supporting characters, (ensemble.) The main roles available are Elle, Paulette, Brooke, Warner, Callahan, Emmett, Pilar, Margot, Serena, Aaron and Padamadan. The school provided audition material and scenes for each of these characters.
Auditions opened Sunday 26th of September, and are supposed to close at 3 PM, Sunday 10th of October. Students can audition through a Google Form, and are asked to upload themselves performing 1 or more scenes/ songs. It is also an available option for dancers to perform and record a 30-second clip of any chosen dance.
Callbacks are planned to be released starting October 10th, when the audition form is closed. If casted, students are required to attend on any needed days, 4-5 times per week.
The producer is Ms. Eversteyn, director is Mr. Weyers, and the choir director is Ms. Hall- All are DAA teachers.
School proposed rehearsal dates:
Sunday/Monday/Wednesday from Sunday November 7 , Winter break, the same days in January- Sunday/Monday/Wednesday/Thursday starting Jan 30 to Feb 10.
The performance days are officially announced to take place on February 12-14, with four shows in total.
