Military Plane Crashes into a Texas Neighbourhood

A military plane plowed into three residences late Sunday morning, according to officials. The collision occurred about 11:15 a.m. in Lake Worth, Texas, between the 4000 and Dakota blocks of Tejas.
According to the US Navy, the plane was a T-45C Goshawk jet trainer assigned to Training Air Wing 2 at Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas.
The two pilots saved themselves prior to the crash. According to Lake Worth Police Chief J.T. Manoushagian, one of the pilots’ parachutes got caught in power lines, while the second pilot was found nearby.
Both pilots were brought to medical facilities for testing and were found to be healthy. Residents of the destroyed homes were forced to evacuate and were assisted by a Red Cross crew. There were no reported injuries.
A total of 60 to 70 people were affected by the power outage in the neighborhood. For a few days, the cutout is expected to be without it.
