During a Saturday evening baby shower in Pennsylvania, a fight over gifts broke out between family and resulted in 3 people being shot.
Police officers were dispatched to the Kinloch Volunteer Fire Department around 6 pm after the shooting was reported inside the fire hall. Lower Burrell Police Chief John Marhefka states, “This was not an active shooter event, but rather an isolated family incident during a baby shower,”
Investigations showed a fight over gifts escalated from a physical fight to gunfire from a nine-millimetre semiautomatic handgun which was shot into a crowd of 25 friends and family. The victims of the shooting consisted of a 23-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy.
Currently, the victims are being treated at hospitals in Pittsburg and the suspected shooter has been taken into custody.
