SpaceX is preparing to launch the company’s first-ever all-civilian crew to space on September 15th, with a three-day journey around the Earth that will help the St. Jude’s foundation.
According to the New York Post, the mission is commanded by Isaacman, founder and CEO of credit card company Shift4 Payments, and an accomplished jet pilot.
Isaacman, with a net worth of 2.6 billion according to Forbes, is donating 100$ million to St. Judes.
There will be four citizens that will go inside the Crew Dragon spacecraft, being launched by the Falcon 9 in a mission called ‘Inspiration4’.
Jared Isaacman, Hayley Arceneaux, Chris Sembroski, and Dr. Sian Proctor will be expected to arrive in Florida on Thursday to begin preparations for the flight, following months of intense training from the four since the team was announced in March of this year.
