Blockbuster Signings As Transfer Deadline Day Comes to a Close

On Monday, one of the most exciting days for a football fan during the summer arrived. Deadline Day this year did not disappoint. Many last-minute big-name signings had been processed from the big European clubs.

Three big names: Antoine Griezmann, Saul Niguez, and Nuno Mendes.

After having a rather underwhelming spell at Barcelona, Atletico Madrid have come to terms with Barcelona for the France International. €40 Million for a loan till June 2022 with a buy option.

Experienced midfielder Saul Niguez takes a step forward in his career by entering the Premier League. Chelsea have completed the deal but it is not known yet how much the loan fee will amount to. Chelsea are hoping to create a super team to win the Premier League after winning the Champions League last spring.

Up-and-coming Portuguese left-back Nuno Mendes has been transferred on loan to Paris Saint Germain, who have also had one of the best summer transfer windows in recent memory. Mendes will become their starting left-back. Both clubs have agreed on a €40 million loan with a buy option.
