Netflix confirmed that they would be canceling or not renewing 47 shows, it is believed that this is a cost saving measure and will free up some extra cash for new Netflix original series and movies

Shows that were canceled include: Anne with an E, Bojack Horseman, Daredevil, Sense 8, One day at a time, On my Block and Ozark

Most of these shows scored over 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, a critic and audience scoring system, which goes to prove it’s more about saving more money than canceling these shows because the audience did not approve

Most of the shows that were canceled were aimed at teen audiences, like On my Block and Anne with an E, but there are a handful of adult audience target shows such as Ozark.

Netflix is constantly using big budgets for new Netflix Original Series such as, Jupiter’s Legacy which cost 200 Million USD, The Crown which cost 13 million USD per episode and Stranger Things which cost 12 million USD per episode.
