The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) made a decision that fully vaccinated people will be able to go indoors and outdoors without a mask. Wearing masks in airplanes, buses, trains and any sort of public transport is still mandatory.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the CDC mentions that there is always a chance that the CDC changes the rules again if the pandemic worsens.
She says, “this is an exciting and powerful moment, it could only happen because of the work of so many who made sure we have the rapid administration of three safe and effective vaccines.” Welensky also mentions that if you’re not vaccinated you still have to wear the mask everywhere you go.
