The 2020 NBA Free Agency (a period of time where teams are allowed to sign and trade players) began on November 20th. Already, teams have made some monumental actions. Here are some of them.
LA Lakers: The reigning champion Los Angeles Lakers added 6th man of the year, Montrezl Harell; runner up, Dennis Shroder; and 2019 NBA champion Marc Gasol to an already all star caliber team. With these additions it appears the Lakers and Lebron have an ea sy road to next year’s Finals.
Milwaukee Bucks: Led by 2x league MVP, Giannes Antetetkumpo, the bucks have formed a formidable team around their star to try and convince him to stay with the team. Milwaukee signed veteren all star, Jrue Holiday; along with resigning young star, Chris Middleton.
Phoenix Suns: The Suns came in big by signing 8 time all star, Chris Paul, who became a free agent after a very strong season with the OKC Thunder earlier this year. Paul will serve as a veteren presence for up and coming superstar, Devin Booker.
LA Clippers: After a disappointing 2019-2020 season, the Clippers look to bounce back next season. They signed Serge Ibaka, a member of the 2019 Raptors team where he won a title alongside Khawi Leonard. The two have expressed being very close, and now will be reunited on the same team. Hopefully this trade fixes some of the chemistry problems the team faced last season.
