Florida prosecutors are dropping charges against former New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker. He is now a free agent after being let go by the Giants because of this incident.
Baker had been charged with robbery with a firearm at a house party in Miramar.
Baker’s charges were dropped due to the victims withdrawing their cooperation and furthermore there was insufficient evidence to convict Baker.
In another twist, William Dean, the attorney that represented the victims of the robbery was arrested, accused of trying to extort about $800,000 in a settlement from Baker.
The Giants head coach Joe Judge stated on Monday that he wishes Baker the best but the team is not interested in bringing him back to the team.
