On Sunday, (September 27) Manchester City played Leicester City, where they lost 2-5. Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez opened the scoring in the 4th minute which made it look like City were going to have a good game.
In the 36th minute Leicester’s Jamie Vardy drew a foul from Kyle Walker, which he scored making it 1-1 before halftime. In the 54th minute Jamie Vardy scored another beautiful goal from a Timothy Castagne cross making it 1-2.
In the 57th minute Jamie Vardy won another penalty, but against Eric Garcia this time. He then scored it again making it 1-3 to Leicester with Vardy now on a hat-trick.
Leicester’s James Maddison came on for the injured Dennis Praet in the 69th minute. He scored after 8 minutes on the pitch making it 1-4 to Leicester City.
Manchester City’s Nathan Ake scored from a corner from Riyad Mahrez in the 84th minute, but it was too late for them to stage a comeback, as Leicester City’s Youri Tieleman converted another penalty drawn by James Maddison against Benjamin Mendy, which ended the game 2-5 to Leicester City.
