Zendaya Becomes Youngest Woman To Win Emmy For Lead Actress

Euphoria star, Zendaya, became the youngest Emmy winner for lead actress only at age 24. Other people nominated for Lead Actress include: Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Oh, Olivia Colman, and Laura Linney. The annual Emmy awards were on September 21st hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Zendaya accepted the award in her living room with her family by her side.
Zendaya played Rue in Euphoria who struggled with a drug addiction. Her role was based off of the creator of Euphoria’s story, Sam Levinson. “I’m so grateful for Rue. I’m so grateful that you trusted me with your story”, Zendaya stated.
