In the UK fines of up to £10,000 will be handed to people who do not self-isolate for 14 days after testing positive. The move comes after a growing number of people are not adhering to the rules.
Boris Johnson the UK Prime Minister said today, “so nobody underestimates just how important this is, [the] new regulations will mean you are legally obliged to do so if you have the virus or have been asked to do so by NHS Test and Trace.”
“We need to do all we can to control the spread of this virus, to prevent the most vulnerable people from becoming infected, and to protect the NHS and save lives”, he added.
Once a person tests positive they must self-isolate at home no more hospitals unless it is a serious case otherwise the stiff fines will be imposed.
