Evelyn Miller, 66, reportedly abducted her 12 year old granddaughter Adreana from a hospital in Louisiana, USA, at gunpoint. Local authorities say that her kidnapping was reported February 14th in the evening at a medical facility in Jefferson Parish.
When the arrest was being made, Adreana was found unharmed at the scene in Bogalusa- 70 miles north of New Orleans. Authorities say “Evelyn Miller entered Adreana’s hospital room to remove her from the hospital. When hospital staff attempted to prevent her from leaving with the child, she pointed a firearm at several of them. In making her escape from the location, she pushed one nurse to the ground and struck a security guard with her vehicle.”
It is believed she was carrying a revolver, and hit a security guard with her Toyota Sienna minivan. No injuries were reported, and no motive has been found.
