Barcelona were able to beat Getafe yesterday night 2-1 at the Camp Nou, but it didn’t come easy. The Barcelona crowd expressed signs of discontent with how their team were playing by whistling. Antione Griezman opened the scoring for Barca in the 33rd minute after a wonderful assist from Leo Messi.
Six minutes later, Sergi Roberto scored another goal for the Blaugranas. Getafe’s hopes of getting back in the game slowly started disappearing. In the 66th minute Angel Rodriguez, Getafe’s top scorer scored an amazing stunner but Barcelona were able to hold Getafe back.
“We knew it would be a tough game,” Setien said. “They’ve won four games in a row before today. They’re aggressive and intense in the way that they press. But we managed the ball well and were really good for an hour. The win was deserved.”
Barcelona are now second in La Liga, with Real Madrid on top with 52 points but one less game.
